Mike “the stud” White shocks Jets fans as he upsets the Bengals

The Jets have just shocked the NFL and upset the Cincinnati Bengals at MetLife stadium today with Mike White as QB1? Yes you are reading it right, Mike White has led the Jets to a 34-31 victory over the Bengals who were fresh off a big win over rival Baltimore Ravens. This game was a good ole fashioned shootout between him and Joe Burrow, as a result turned into one of the best games to watch today. White finished the day throwing 37-45 for 405 yards, 3 touchdowns and two interception. Those two interceptions weren’t even his fault, they were in and out of the hands of the receivers. This was a game where everything clicked on offense, something that fans were waiting to see. Not to mention that they scored a touchdown in the first quarter for the first time this year.

Prior to this game, fans and analysts had no faith in the backup quarterback. Especially after watching him in the preseason, in fact we were hoping to see recently acquired Joe Flacco on the field. But since he wasn’t going to be there until Friday, it had to be Mike White‘s show. However, his teammates had full con in him which was the point of emphasis this week. We saw what they’ve been seeing throughout practice. We also see why offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur wanted to be up in the boot because his play calling was flawless today. White in fact told LaFleur that he didn’t need him on the sideline, in which case resulted in the offensive coordinator to move upstair. I expect to see him up there more often especially when Wilson is healthy.
