We finally got off the Schneid last week as we went 2-1 to put us back on track. Maybe, JUST MAYBE, were starting to get a feel for this season and where these teams stand. We can make some good money and get ourselves into the green before the end of the season. We have 3 more picks this week we feel confident about.
Dallas Cowboys (+1.0) at Washington Redskins
I love the Cowboys here, they’re the better team and they’re getting a point. They just took Jacksonville to the woodshed and the Redskins needed a ton of luck to pull off a win over the Panthers. The Redskins are still banged up at receiver and with Jordan Reed disappearing off the face of the earth they are relying on old men Adrian Peterson and Vernon Davis to carry their offense. The problem is the Cowboys excellent linebacker corp. are well suited to shut down the Redskins offense and if the Cowboys can keep even 50% of their intensity on offense versus Jacksonville they will win this game handedly.
Minnesota Vikings (-3.5) at New York Jets
The Jets are well on their way to being contenders, with a ton of cap space and another first round pick in the offseason. They aren’t there yet though and they can’t make up for their numerous injuries in the secondary versus Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs. The Jets offense will continue to take strides even with Enunwa out and Pryor ailing, but it won’t be enough to keep up with Cousins and his receiver corp.
Cleveland Browns (+4.0) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Buccaneers are getting a little more love than they should because Jameis went up against a Falcons defense that anyone and everyone has been able to beat down. The sledding will be much tougher versus Ward and Garrett. The Browns defense has an elite DT, CB, and edge rusher and Baker will not have a problem creating offense versus the Bucs defense. With a generous 4 point cushion we feel good going with the Brownies here.
