Looking Back at Day 2 of Eagles Training Camp

Day two of Eagles training camp kicked off the beginning of team drills and 7 on 7 sessions.

Unlike the previous couple of days, today the team got physical and the competition was at an all time high.

Although it is very early in camp, we are already seeing a various number of things.

Let's get into those things now!

Firstly, the new wide receivers look the part, Alshon Jeffery and Torrey Smith were both fantastic today.

In fact, we learned that basically all you have to do is throw it up and Jeffery will go up and get it.

Having that trait will be a luxury for Carson Wentz come September.

Secondly, we saw the defense struggle to defend the offense today.

Yes, it is very early but I think that is a good sign. The Eagles defense is very good and for the Eagle offense to dominant them, I think only positives can come out of that.

The Eagles offense was a mess last season and seeing them this sharp this early on is promising.

Lastly, one standout player was rookie running back Donnel Pumphrey.

He lined up all over the field with the first team offense. From the slot to the back field, Pumphrey was out there and looked impressive.

He caught a lot of passes and looks like he will have a big role come September.
